A few exports.
About ten minutes.

Everything we need is a built-in export from tools you already use. No logins, no app installs, no access to your accounts.

Shopify: orders export

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
  2. Filter by date to the period you want analyzed. 30 to 90 days works best.
  3. Click Export, choose Orders matching your current filters and CSV for Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.
  4. Send the CSV as it is. No need to clean it up.
Privacy tip. We don't need to know who your customers are. Before sending, you can delete the columns with names, emails, phone numbers and addresses. The analysis works the same.

Your ad platforms: spend and results

One export per platform you advertise on, for the same date range as your Shopify export. We need spend, purchases (conversions) and purchase value, by campaign. A breakdown by day helps; campaign totals are the minimum.

Meta Ads Manager

  1. Open Ads Manager and set the date range.
  2. Make sure these columns are showing (add them under Columns → Customize columns): Amount spent, Purchases, Purchase conversion value and Campaign name.
  3. Click Export → Export table data → .csv.

Google Ads

  1. Go to Campaigns and set the date range.
  2. Make sure the Cost, Conversions and Conv. value columns are showing (Columns → Modify columns).
  3. Click the download icon above the table and choose .csv.

TikTok Ads Manager

  1. Go to Reporting → Create report, with Campaign as the dimension.
  2. Add the metric Cost, your purchase metric (usually Complete payment) and its value, and set the date range.
  3. Click Run & Export and choose CSV.

Menus move around from time to time. If something looks different, send whatever export you can get with spend and purchases; we'll work with it.

Your cost per product

Any format works: a spreadsheet, a note, or a photo of a supplier invoice. For each product:

  • Product name or SKU
  • Unit cost (what you pay per unit)
  • Packaging cost per unit, if you track it
  • Average shipping cost per order, if you pay for shipping

If you don't track packaging or shipping separately, a rough estimate is fine. We'll mark it as an estimate in the report.

Sending it over

Reply to our email thread, or write to nicolas@hobersolutions.com, with your exports and your cost list attached. Your Profit Snapshot arrives within 3 business days. You pay the $149 only after you've seen it, and only if it showed you something you didn't know.

We use your files only to build your Snapshot, never share them, and delete them when you ask. See our privacy note.
